My name is Joana Pepe, and I’m from Burnaby, BC. I’ve been playing basketball for the past five years with Notre Dame, Excel Basketball, and Kia Nurse Elite Pacific. Growing up, I played a lot of different sports, but soccer, lacrosse, and basketball were always my favourites before I decided to focus on basketball.
Living with Crohn’s disease has taught me how to stay disciplined and push through challenges while playing at a high level. It’s helped shape who I am both as an athlete and as a person.
I’m excited to be part of the OC community, continue improving my game, and make the most of this next chapter.
